About Alpujarras Properties
Founded in 2005, Alpujarras Properties is a specialist estate agency dedicated to the villages, valleys and mountain landscapes of Las Alpujarras.
Part of the Another Way Of Life group, we focus on a distinctive part of southern Spain that demands genuine local knowledge. The Alpujarras is not a single property market but a collection of very different villages, rural communities and landscapes stretching across the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
Some buyers are looking for a traditional village house among narrow streets and whitewashed homes. Others dream of a secluded cortijo surrounded by olive, almond or fruit trees, with mountain views, productive land and space for guests, animals or a rural business. Understanding the differences between these properties—and between one part of the Alpujarras and another—is at the heart of what we do.
For more than twenty years, we have helped buyers from Spain and overseas find country houses, cortijos, village homes, renovation projects, small hotels, rural tourism businesses and properties with land throughout the region.

Our local associate is based in Cádiar, in the heart of the eastern Alpujarras, supported by our Granada office and the wider experience of Another Way Of Life. We also provide detailed guidance about the buying process, purchase costs, rural planning, renovation and the practicalities of moving to Spain. Our People

Assisting Chris are Shaun and Dawn Anderson. Dawn is responsible for the administration of the agency and deals with client enquiries while Shaun loves to get out on the road, visiting vendors and showing clients around our properties. Our Role
A cornerstone of our philosophy is that the agency works as an honest broker between seller and buyer. We are not sales people. Our aim is that both parties emerge from every sale satisfied with the outcome and confident that we have acted both efficiently and professionally. We are fluent Spanish speakers and vastly experienced in all legal aspects of buying and selling property in Andalucia which enables us to give the very best service to our clients, both sellers and buyers.
Our Promise
To our vendors, we promise to maximise exposure of their property, not only passively via our websites and international property portals but also actively through direct, and precisely targeted, email marketing backed by a sophisticated customer relations management system. We will highlight all the advantages of their property and will do our utmost to sell it at the best possible price.
To our buyers, we promise to listen carefully to their needs and recommend properties that are likely to suit them even though this may not be immediately apparent to the client. We will not engage in estate agent’s tricks such as showing you unsuitable properties just to make it appear to the seller that we are active on their behalf and to take up your time.
